The classic from Pelikan is sovereign. The production of the tortoise shell coat is subject to a complex process, because according to a recipe specially developed for Pelikan, a striped piece of material is made from cotton material in many steps, which is bent and then ground to the contour with a diamond. The special feature of the tortoiseshell material lies in the slight material transparency and in the different color nuances that give the material its shimmering effect. The palladium-plated rings on the handle and cap are fitted with the utmost precision before the writing instrument is polished to a high gloss. The slightly springy, typical Pelikan beak clip gives this high-quality writing instrument its unmistakable design.
